41 mm Laureato anniversary 225 ref 81000 … details

Friends,

Some more pics of a special laureato. The ref 81000 225th anniversary laureato. Limited edition of 225 pieces made. Released in 2016, this is the laureato that is the “father” to ALLL the current production laureatos.

The 41 mm is a thinner watch compared to the 42 mm. In fact, it is the same thickness as the 38 mm at 10 mm.

The 41 mm bracelet also has no visible screw holes on the end links. The bracelets are not the same as the 42 mm. GP changed bracelet supplier for thr 42 mm for cost reasons.

Also, the sweep of the 41 mm bracelet is more tightly connected to the case integration.

It is obviously far more rare and holds heritage and provenance. Some folks compare its significance to what the 15202 is to the AP Royal oak history.

Some may think the 38 mm is too small and the 42 mm too big. Well, the 41 mm wears like a 40 mm. 💡

Once again, some dealers have listed it like they would a 42 mm. They don’t know better.

Take advantage this. 😉

Thr silver dial 41 mm is a beautiful and rare piece. ❤️💯

... however if I had to judge, the following points would bother me with the 41 (believe it or not, perhaps it's a 'ex post' view but I really feel that way): 1) I don't like the movement (size, looks, technology and winding feel) 2) looking at the dial: ...

What you said is actually true for me: 'that’s like saying the 5402 royal oak has this or that problem in looks'... yes, yes it absolutely has in my opinion So I think the current version of the 39 Jumbo is better looking. I also think that the current ve...

Ditto. I enjoy these type of conversations that give rise to alternative POVs. I especially like when we take objective views and highlight when it’s subjective. So, I’ve seen collecting evolve into flex shows and where some folks call themselves collecto...

And a nice alternative to the 42 mm. Who do you have to know to score “000/225??” 🙂

Thanks ☀️ that’s my main point …

To let folks know that they have an alternative between the 38 mm and the 42 mm. Just got lucky with the 000/225 ☺️

Thanks G ☀️
